About Mold

Mold’s friendly atmosphere and renowned markets make it one of north Wales’ most popular towns. You’ll find lively street markets every Wednesday and Saturday, livestock markets on Mondays and Fridays and indoor markets open all week. A farmers’ market also visits twice a month. It’s fair to say we love a market in Mold!

The town’s huge variety of shops includes a wealth of independent outlets, vibrant pubs, cosy cafes and welcoming restaurants. It also has the award winning Theatr Clwyd.

You can find out more about the town’s history at the Mold Museum, which is above the Library in Daniel Owen Square. You’ll also be able to view a replica of the mysterious, but rather wonderful, Bronze Age Mold Cape.

Set in stunning countryside, with the dramatic Clwydian Range to the east and the Dee Estuary to the north, Mold is a great base from which to explore nature and the great Welsh outdoors.
